When talking about years 2000-2009, you do not have to separate it like you do with other dates in English.
If you were to say 1892 (year), you would say "18-92"(eighteen ninety two), and if you were to say 2015(year), you would say "20-15"(twenty fifteen).
But if you want to say 2005 then you say "two thousand five", or for 2007 you say "two thousand seven".
I know it is a bit confusing but it makes pronouncing dates much easier when talking in a conversation.
